During the three days of mourning, all flags at public buildings in the state will be flown at half mast.

On Friday, Oyebanji, who had already expressed his condolences to the Ondo State government and people, visited the late Akeredolu’s family at their Ibadan home.

Remember that Mr. Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, had previously announced a three-day statewide mourning period in honor of the late Akeredolu.

His statement followed that of Ondo State, which had taken the lead in announcing three days of mourning in Akeredolu’s honor.

After traveling to Germany to receive treatment for prostate cancer, Akeredolu passed away at the age of 67.
