Baba shared a photo of the deceased and commented, “God knows it all, but the loss of a young, promising man hurt me to my core.” I had no idea, brother, that the day I saw you in the hospital would be our last encounter. This Friday and Saturday, I should be typing congratulations on your image, but we believe that God is faithful throughout.

It was discovered on Basif’s Facebook page that his most recent post on November 29, 2023 had an invitation to a wedding celebration that was scheduled for Friday, December 22, and Saturday, December 23.

The wedding invitation and engagement pictures of Basif and his fiancée had the statement, “He made all things beautiful in his time.” Please come along with us as we celebrate God’s victory over our lives.

After Baba made the statement, Basif was also mourned on the Facebook sites of other friends of the deceased.

In a letter, Suleiman Naphysah said, “The news is unbelievable. All of us who know you find this extremely difficult to endure. Go in peace, Abraham Basif.

“Rest in peace, brother,” voice actor Austine wrote. What will transpire with your wedding tomorrow, sir? Broken heart.
