Nollywood actor Kunle Remi is currently facing backlash from netizens due to recent developments in the blockbuster movie “Anikulapo.”
According to the circulating information online, “Anikulapo,” which has now been renamed “Anikulapo – Rise of the Spectre,” is reportedly a four-part original series on Netflix.
The films have introduced new artists, notably Kunle Remi, who originally portrayed the character named “Saro.” However, it is alleged that Adedimeji Lateef has taken over the role of “Saro” in the series.

As a reminder, Kunle Remi’s portrayal of “Saro” in the initial part of the movie was well-received by audiences. His on-screen chemistry with Bimbo Ademoye, who played the character “Arolake,” captivated many viewers.
Adedimeji Lateef, on his verified Instagram page, recently shared new photos indicating that he is one of the actors joining the movie. In some of the photos, he is seen embodying the characteristics of Saro, including the distinct tribal marks that were associated with the original portrayal by Kunle Remi.

The recent development in the Anikulapo movie has sparked criticism, with many expressing curiosity as to why Kunle Remi was reportedly removed from the project.
It’s worth noting that Kunle Remi garnered attention online a few months ago when his name was noticeably absent from the list of nominees for Best Male Actors at the recently concluded AMVCA (Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards).
