DJ Switch remembered how many Nigerians kept their ground despite the Nigerian government sending thugs to disrupt the protest in a post on her Instagram page commemorating the EndSars monument and the shoot at Lekki Tollgate.

DJ Switch expressed her admiration for the EndSars movement’s youthful generation and Nigerian celebrities who have showed remarkable leadership.

According to DJ Switch, the Lekki Massacre changed her life for the worse, but she believed it was for the better.

She wrote: On this day last year, 20.10.20, we were full of hope that young Nigerians would take a firm stance. We stood our ground in the face of the government’s shenanigans, lies, counter-protesters, and thugs who were dispatched to harm us!

When the Nigerian government had exhausted all of their ill-advised methods, they unleashed EVIL on its people. I haven’t been able to speak today… I can’t image how people who have had it worse are feeling!

I am really pleased of our next generation of leaders, as well as our celebrities who have demonstrated outstanding leadership. I should also mention that it is not a one-day event… This is a war for our country’s very survival!

This day impacted my life… for the worse! But I believe it has changed for the better! I now understand what it’s like to be desperate for something… For me, that need is a better Nigeria! To the young people who risked everything today to remember 20.10.20, you are Superman/Superwoman! Thanks to @davido for a memorable anthem!

Many Nigerians reacted positively to this, praising DJ Switch for paying a high price and forsaking her main source of income in her quest for a better country.
