Addressing the situation, Diniz emphasized his focus on Gabriel’s well-being, stating, “My concern is Gabriel. We brought him here for some reasons, and it was important to him.” He highlighted Jesus’s positive impact in a challenging match against Uruguay, emphasizing his commitment to the player’s welfare.

“Performing well, holding his position, and occasionally posing individual challenges against Uruguay, I have confidence in the player, and having him here brings me satisfaction.
“I spoke with Gabriel, and his presence here was not impulsive. He assured me he feels good, has already resumed certain activities, and when we talked, there were still two more weeks, at least ten days until the first game against Colombia, and 15 days until the second one against Argentina. He is in good condition, and we are managing things with utmost care. Immediately upon his arrival, we conducted a new MRI, and we are treating him very cautiously.
“If he maintains the right condition, he should be available against Argentina,” Diniz stated. “Even if he doesn’t play, coming here was undoubtedly significant for Gabriel. I am confident he will return to Arsenal in better shape than when he arrived.”
