The former Leicester defender registered the joint-highest number of blocks for the month and the fifth-highest amount of clearances.

Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling, the England forward often overlooked, showcased his attacking prowess by contributing in three games, helping Chelsea accumulate four points in November. His notable achievements include scoring against his former club Manchester City and delivering a stunning free-kick in the 4-1 defeat at Newcastle.

Joining Maguire and Sterling on the esteemed shortlist are Jeremy Doku from Manchester City, Anthony Gordon from Newcastle, Thomas Kaminski from Luton, and Marcus Tavernier from Bournemouth.

Doku’s standout performance involved securing four assists in a commanding victory over Bournemouth, while Gordon made significant goal contributions in Newcastle’s triumphs over Arsenal and Chelsea. Tavernier, aged 24, concluded the month with two goals in a 3-1 win against Sheffield United, while Luton’s goalkeeper Kaminski made an impressive 15 saves in November.

The decision for the award involves a combination of public votes and insights from a panel of football experts. Voting is open until Monday, December 4, with the winner set to be announced on Friday, December 8. Fans can participate in the voting process for Maguire, Sterling, Doku, Gordon, Kaminski, or Tavernier on the EA Sports website.
