Victor Osimhen’s tenure at Napoli seems to be reaching its conclusion, with the club willing to part ways with the Nigerian striker this summer.

Italian publication Il Mattino reports that Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis is prepared to entertain offers for Osimhen, who appears eager to move on from the Serie A outfit.

Following their long-awaited Scudetto triumph, De Laurentiis aimed to retain the core of his title-winning squad last summer. However, the departure of coach Luciano Spaletti, coupled with Bayern Munich’s activation of Kim Min-jae’s release clause, has left defensive voids. Despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain and a substantial bid from Saudi Arabia, Napoli faces the potential exit of Osimhen.

De Laurentiis, acknowledging Osimhen’s injury-ridden and tense season, is now open to selling the striker, possibly even below his €120 million release clause.

Anticipating Osimhen’s departure since last summer, De Laurentiis had protracted but amicable contract negotiations, aware of potential interest from Real Madrid, PSG, or English clubs.

De Laurentiis stated, “That’s why the contract negotiations were so drawn out and amicable… but we knew perfectly well that he would go to Real Madrid, PSG, or an English team.”

Real Madrid’s focus on Kylian Mbappé, PSG’s interest, and an undisclosed English club—likely Chelsea or Arsenal—are all potential destinations for Osimhen. While Chelsea has shown keen interest, PSG is reportedly Osimhen’s preferred destination. However, negotiations are ongoing, leaving the striker’s future uncertain as the summer transfer window approaches.
