The UEFA European Championships 2024 group stage draw has been conducted in Hamburg, unveiling intriguing matchups for the participating teams.

In Group A, England finds itself alongside familiar opponents Denmark, whom they faced in a tense Euro 2020 semi-final. Joining them are Slovenia and Serbia.

Hosts Germany are set to open the tournament against Scotland in Group B, where they will also contend with Hungary and Switzerland. Group B is widely perceived as the ‘group of death,’ featuring top seeds Spain, along with Croatia, Italy, and Albania.

Group C sees England paired with Denmark once again, alongside Slovenia and Serbia. Group D comprises France, Austria, the Netherlands, and the winner of the play-offs involving Poland, Estonia, Wales, or Finland.

Belgium leads Group E, accompanied by Romania, Slovakia, and the winner of Play-off B, which involves Israel, Iceland, Bosnia-Herzegovina, or Ukraine. Group F consists of Portugal, Turkey, the Czech Republic, and the winner of Play-off C, involving Georgia, Luxembourg, Greece, or Kazakhstan.

Euro 2024 kicks off on June 14, 2024, with hosts Germany facing Scotland at the Allianz Arena at 8 pm BST. The group stage format entails the top two teams from each group advancing to the last 16, joined by the four best third-place teams. The final three finalists will be confirmed in March through play-offs, with Wales seeking qualification by defeating Finland and then facing either Estonia or Poland.
