The family of the late Timothy Adegoke recently conveyed their profound gratitude to Oriyomi Hamzat, a distinguished activist and champion for justice, for his unwavering support throughout their pursuit of justice.

Timothy Adegoke, a young postgraduate student at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, had gone missing after staying at a hotel in November 2021.

Subsequently, the police discovered Adegoke’s body in a shallow grave along Old Ede Road in the town. It was later revealed that he had allegedly been killed at the Hilton Hotel in Ile-Ife. Following this revelation, Adedoyin and his associates were charged with 18 counts including murder, conspiracy, and violation of secrecy oaths, among others.

Oriyomi Hamzat, known for his strong advocacy for social justice, human rights, and equality, took a keen interest in Timothy’s case.
