Oba Adebayo Fatoba, the Alara of Ara Ikole-Ekiti, was able to flee in the interim.

“We shall deeply mourn the passing of Kabiyesi. However, in honor of him, we are pleading with the state government to finish the Imojo Palace project, which he started, so that we can christen it in his honor and make him eternal.

The chief stated, “I don’t think it would take Kabiesi up to a year to become a professor.”

Dada described the death of the king as excruciating, noting that the late traditional leader initiated a number of community development projects.

Aware of the current wave of abductions in the region, he begged the administration to intensify efforts to safeguard the state’s inhabitants.

Kidnapping reports are growing more common in different regions of the country.

Additionally in Ekiti, on Monday, five pupils and four employees of the Apostolic Faith Group of Schools, Emure Ekiti, were kidnapped.

To release the nine captives, their captors have demanded a ransom of N100 million.

During the meeting, Biodun Oyebanji, the state governor of Ekiti, expressed his total confidence in the security agencies to identify the perpetrators of the crime against the traditional institution.

He declared that efforts by the government to maintain public safety will not end.
