Hope Uzodinma, the governor of Imo State, has been congratulated by the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) on her reelection.
Imo State’s governorship election on November 11 was won by Uzodinma and the All Progressives Congress (APC), according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The announcement was made by Prof. Abayomi Fashina, the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti and the State Returning Officer, that Uzodinma had defeated opponents from the Action Alliance (AA), Labour Party (LP), and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The CNPP said, “We, therefore, congratulate Governor Hope Uzodinma, the winner of the 2023 governorship election in Imo State,” in a statement signed by James Ezema, its deputy national publicity secretary.
“Politics is a mathematical game, and in a contest like this, there can only be one victor.
The CNPP stated, “We implore the public to preserve peace and any aggrieved party or individual should investigate legal options to seek redress.”
