Nigerian film actress, Jumoke Odetola recently caused confusion with a post on social media where she revealed that traffic nearly caused her to miss her own wedding. The Yoruba movie star shared a video of herself dressed in a white wedding gown, holding a white bouquet, and displaying a wedding band. In the video, she announced that she is the bride and shared photos that appeared to have been taken at a reception venue. Her post sparked confusion as it was unclear whether she had actually gotten married or if it was a movie scene.
Captioning the video, Jumoke Odetola wrote:
“The bride is here. Traffic almost made me miss my wedding”.

Prior to her confusing wedding post, Jumoke Odetola had taken to social media to express her frustration with the heavy traffic in Lagos. She shared photos of herself stuck in traffic and questioned how one could have a long and prosperous life in the city with such high rates of traffic. Jumoke recounted spending 10 hours in traffic from Ajah to Magodo and was facing a similar experience on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. In her post, she expressed her exasperation with the situation.

This morning again, Lagos – Ibadan Expressway is marking the attendance of wickedness, it’s doing competition of na me wicked pass. Woos, e be like say na to dey sleep for house sure pass. Independent woman in the mud, I no do again”.
