“After the Borno State Government brought all stakeholders together and coordinated, the Maiduguri Emergency Backup system was activated, restoring power to parts of the city,” the commissioner said.
Governor Zulum expressed his worries over the darkness and his commitment to finding a quick solution through the commissioner.
“Governor Zulum voiced profound concern over the power outage and its detrimental effects on the people of Borno State,” he said.
In his words, the governor expressed awareness of the suffering people are going through and underlined that the government of Borno State will keep pushing all pertinent parties and making sure all the resources are available to speed up the restoration of electricity to other areas that are currently without it.
The federal government, the Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC), the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) were among the parties to whom the commissioner extended gratitude.
