The much awaited film “Anikulapo series: Rise of the spectre,” starring well-known Nigerian actor and producer Kunle Afolayan, will hit theaters on March 1.

Kunle Afolayan, known for addressing important social themes in his films and showcasing Yoruba language and culture, shared a sneak peek of his upcoming project coming up on Netflix, via his Instagram.

The six-part epic series, Anikulapo: Rise of the spectre, is a follow-up to its original successful 2022 movie, telling a story of a traveller, Saro, finding his end meets in Oyo kingdom.

The movie was shot on location at KAP Film Village and Resort in Igbojaiye, Oyo State, Nigeria, Aníkúlápó: Rise of the Spectre stars returning fan-favourite cast members and exciting new additions.

The movie features Kunle Remi (returning as Saro), Bimbo Ademoye (as Rolake), Layi Wasabi, Uzee Usman, Sola Sobowale, Jide Kosoko, Lateef Adedimeji, Gabriel Afolayan, Lincoln Owo Ogunde, Aunty Ramota, Ronke Oshodi-Oke, Sunday Omobolanle, Funky Mallam, Aisha Lawal, Adeniyi Johnson, Moji Afolayan, Sisi Quadri among other Nollywood actors.
