Esther Nwachukwu, a renowned Nollywood actress, has expressed her views regarding the recent reports on actor Yul Edochie’s first wife, May, filing for divorce from him.
As many are aware, May Edochie and her husband had been experiencing marital discord since Yul Edochie married a second wife in April 2022. It has been reported that May initiated the divorce proceedings.
Furthermore, it has been alleged that the court, during the ongoing divorce process, has granted May Edochie full custody of their three children as well as their mansion.

In response to these developments, Esther Nwachukwu took to social media and shared a video where she voiced her criticism towards those who support May in her decision to divorce her husband.
Esther Nwachukwu firmly believes that Yul Edochie did nothing wrong by marrying a second wife, and she asserts that it is not a sufficient reason for May to terminate their 18-year-long marriage.
She questioned who would be willing to marry a woman after four children.
Esther Nwachukwu also pointed out that while the court may have granted May full custody of their children, the Igbo tradition might not favor her, as Yul’s presence will always be required for important events in their children’s lives.
“All of you encouraging May to divorce her husband, I just dey laugh… husband no dey street, you guys are supporting her now but time will come…” She said in part.
