We are merely present to confirm the results as announced at the local government level. The Chairmanship results were also made public at that level.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication, Hon. Emmanuel Bello, Governor Agbu Kefas responded to the election results, stating that they were a blatant demonstration of the PDP’s supremacy in the state.

“All of our worries that the relentlessly hostile opposition might surprise us with this election vanished in an instant. In addition to winning, the PDP conducted a calm exercise in which almost all participants agreed with the results.

We have always thought that the greatest course of action for the state’s development is to have a thriving local chairmanship system. The governor was cited in the statement as adding, “We do not believe in the imposition of caretakers: an easy route many have taken in the past.”
