In preparation for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against the Warriors of Zimbabwe on Sunday, the Super Eagles team traveled to Kigali, Rwanda, on Saturday.
According to earlier reports from PUNCH Sports Extra, the players and officials traveled to East Africa on a chartered aircraft that left the Victor Attah International Airport on Friday night. The aircraft is expected to land in Kigali at dawn and then drive for two hours to Butare, the city where the match is being played (Huye Stadium).
The 20,000-seat Huye Stadium features artificial turf, but the Eagles have decided as a team not to let it disturb them in their pursuit of the most possible three points.
