Boniface, who started the match on the bench, entered in the 67th minute and secured Leverkusen’s fourth goal just two minutes later. The 22-year-old has now accumulated 10 goals in 16 league appearances for Die Werkself this season.

Meanwhile, in France, Terem Moffi emerged as the hero in OGC Nice’s 2-0 triumph over RC Lens. Having missed the previous 3-1 defeat to Le Havre due to a minor injury, Moffi came off the bench and scored a brace for Nice. The 22-year-old replaced Gaetan Laborde in the 73rd minute, opening the scoring from the penalty spot two minutes later and adding a second goal in the 77th minute. Moffi has now notched six goals in 16 league appearances for Nice this season.
