After a lackluster first half, Joe Aribo scored just a few minutes into the second. Everton then picked up the pace as Andre Onana crossed the ball to Conor Coady, who finished well, to score their equalizer.

A few seconds later, Frank Lampard’s team scored again and completely changed the course of the match. Alex Iwobi attempted a speculative shot at the back post, but Dwight McNeil successfully finished it, igniting the blue section of the stadium.

As a result, Hasenhüttl’s team has only accrued seven points from eight games, while Everton has acquired some breathing room after two consecutive Premier League victories.

Iwobi, who recorded an assist in Saturday’s victory over the Saints, expressed his joy at having contributed to his team’s critical victory and claimed there was no better way to celebrate Independence Day.

No Better Way To Enjoy The Day, My Peoples, Than A Happy Nigerian Independence Day! Iwobi posted a message on his Twitter account along with photos of himself having a good time after winning on Saturday.

Trevor Steven, a former Everton player, believes that Iwobi’s current form best represents the culture currently present at the team.

This season, the Nigerian midfielder at Goodison Park is playing his finest football yet.

“A great working environment changes people’s performance,” Steven told the Liverpool Echo. “Alex Iwobi is one example of this. We had an unstable environment and a disconnect, so he had to strive endlessly to find his game.

Now that we are all working together, the boy appears to be a different player. He has served as a shining example of someone who saw that, if he had it right, this was the ideal location.

He persisted in his efforts, overcame the obstacles, and today he sets his own standards. He also possesses the capacity to adapt, which in my opinion is a fundamental change.
