According to reports, a young married woman in Lagos State committed suicide by plunging into the lagoon near the Third Mainland Bridge. Eyewitness testimonies stated that the incident occurred suddenly when the woman stepped out of a cab and dove into the lagoon. The woman and her husband got into a fight, according to the Uber driver, before she got out and dove into the lagoon.

A young woman fell into the lagoon near the third mainland bridge in Lagos state, according to a new report. The young woman was said to have leaped into the lagoon after being reported to have abruptly exited a vehicle, most likely a taxi.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has already sent out a rescue squad to look for the woman, according to the Daily Trust Newspaper.

Oke-Osanyintolu recounted: “Upon arrival of the LRT at the incident scene, investigation revealed that a lady in her late thirties (30s) plunged into the Lagos lagoon.

“Further investigation revealed that the lady alighted from a Uber taxi car on the bridge and plunged into the lagoon.

” Further account by the LASEMA boss revealed a verbal brawl between the lady and her husband, who was also inside the cab before the tragic incident.

The LASEMA boss said: “The LRT men of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, LASWA, and officials of the Department of State Service (DSS) are currently on the ground working better together to search for the victim.”
