While taking on the Nigerian music industry’s OGs for what he deems as inauthenticity, a quick check on Bella Shmurda’s page revealed that he has unfollowed Wizkid.

This development occurred shortly after netizens criticized Wizkid for his silence regarding the passing of the former Marlian signee, Mohbad.

In contrast to artists like Davido, Burna Boy, Olamide, Don Jazzy, Paul Okoye, and others who expressed condolences, mourned Mohbad, and even provided financial support to the late singer’s family, Wizkid’s response has been notably different.

Some have suggested that Wizkid’s silence may be due to ongoing grief over his late mother, while others argue that this explanation doesn’t align with his recent appearances at various fashion shows in the UK and Italy.

Certain netizens went to the extent of uncovering a throwback tweet from Wizkid in which he declared himself a Marlian forever, further intensifying the scrutiny on his response to Mohbad’s passing.

Bella Shmurda’s decision to unfollow Wizkid while maintaining his followings of Davido, Burna Boy, and Olamide, despite their lack of reciprocation, reflects his evolving stance within the music industry.

Bella Shmurda wrote; “Some OGs no be OGs! Past few days I don learn lesson!”
