A main route that leads to Okenne, Kogi State, the hometown of Governor Yahaya Bello, has been blocked by soldiers.
According to PM News Nigeria, on Saturday, the troops barred reporters and election monitors from entering the road that leads to the governor’s polling place.
An explanation for the obstruction was not provided.

Afterwards, at approximately 8:15 a.m., the military let reporters and election monitors through.
However, there was still another obstruction seen at the S.J. Deluxe Hotel on the Okene-Lokoja road.
