The mother of the late, promising, and talented singer Mohbad has finally revealed her son’s fears before his tragic passing.
In an interview with TVC, the mother of two disclosed that she had never publicly acknowledged her role as the singer’s mother because he feared that she might be kidnapped or harmed.
Contrary to reports suggesting she had no relationship with her son, she revealed that Mohbad had purchased a new house for her in Ikorodu, which he frequently visited. He also bought her a shop, provided funds for freezers and a generator, and had even promised to give her N5 million before his tragic passing.

She voiced her concerns about returning to her house in Ikorodu and disclosed her intention to rent out the shop.
Speaking about Mohbad, she revealed that the singer lived in constant fear and was unable to truly enjoy his life. She mentioned that she believed the attacks on him had ceased for a while, but unfortunately, he faced a severe beating after releasing his EP.
She recounted accompanying him to the police station twice, where he filed complaints, but sadly, no action was taken. Tragically, two days before his untimely death, he had pleaded with her to stay with him, but she declined because she had missed church service for two consecutive weeks and wanted to attend.
