A woman from Zimbabwe has admitted to lying against a guy who has been serving a 20-year r#pe term in prison for eight years.
Simbarashe Chadiwa was found guilty and given a 20-year prison term for r#ping an underage girl in 2014.
After a spate of tragedies befell her and her family, the “victim,” now 18 years old, apparently admitted to lying against Chadiwa.

“That man never s#xually assaulted me, but because of the pressure, I made the mistake of accusing him. I can no longer bear the thought that someone is out there suffering as a result of a crime that he never committed since that act has been tormenting me on a daily basis.
A lot of misfortunes are also happening at our home, which makes me suspect it has to do with the grief on the part of Simbarashe, hence my decision to come clean.” She said.
Tapiwa Chadiwa, the serving inmate’s brother, said Simbarashe literally broke down when they arrived at Harare Central Prison with the good news last weekend.
He could not hold a discussion with us, he was simply drowned in tears. The fact that it has taken this long to finally have justice prevail was overwhelming for him. We were all so emotional we could not go into a decent talk to chart the way forward.” Chadiwa said.
According to reports, Simbarashe went to the girl’s homestead with his companion in order to meet the family maid, his sweetheart.
While the girl’s mother was away in Botswana, she wondered why her kid appeared to be walking with a limp when she got back.
This sparked a series of actions that resulted in Chadiwa’s conviction.
