The red carpet at the premiere of Kunle Afolayan’s latest movie, “Ijogbon,” was graced by A-list celebrities from the film industry.

The event, which took place at Film House Circle Mall in the Lekki area of Lagos State, marked the much-anticipated premiere of the movie. It is scheduled to debut on Netflix today, on the 13th of October.

The premiere of “Ijogbon” was a dazzling event, with numerous prominent figures from the Nigerian entertainment industry gracing the occasion. Celebrities from the film world, such as Femi Adebayo, Sola Sobowale, Taooma, Aisha Lawal, Tunde Kilani, and various actors, skit-makers, directors, and producers, gathered at the venue to demonstrate their support for Kunle Afolayan, a highly esteemed filmmaker in Nigeria.

The movie is co-produced by Tunde Babalola, the scriptwriter, and the duo has previously collaborated on projects like “October 1,” “Mokaliki,” “The CEO,” and several others.

“Ijogbon” tells the story of four teenagers who stumble upon a bag filled with diamonds, but they choose to hide it, a decision that leads to regretful consequences in their lives.

According to the movie director, “Ijogbon” showcases the universality of human emotions, influenced by unique cultural backgrounds and beliefs. Additionally, the film offers a portrayal of the lives of teenagers in rural areas, their dreams for a brighter future, and their willingness to “Japa” (emigrate) if it means pursuing a better life.

The movie boasts a stellar cast, featuring talented actors such as Bimbo Manuel, Gabriel Afolayan, Sam Dede, Tana Adelana, Yemi Solade, Bolaji Amusan, Femi Adebayo, Yemi Sodimu, Femi Branch, Adunni Ade, and many others.

In addition to the seasoned actors, the movie also showcases young and aspiring talents, including Ruby Akubueze, Ojuolape Kayode, Fawaz of Ikorodu Boiz, and Oluwaseyi Ebiesuwa.
