Cristiano Ronaldo Breaks Saudi Pro League Scoring Record
Cristiano Ronaldo set a new record for the most goals in a Saudi Pro League season by scoring his 34th and 35th goals in Al Nassr’s final game of the campaign.
“I don’t follow the records, the records follow me,” the 39-year-old Portuguese forward tweeted afterward.

The former Real Madrid and Manchester United star scored in first-half stoppage time and again in the 69th minute with a header, leading Al Nassr to a 4-2 victory over Al Ittihad at home on Monday.
The previous record for most goals in a single season was held by Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah, who scored 34 goals in the 2018-19 season.
Despite their win, Al Nassr finished second in the league, 14 points behind champions Al Hilal.
Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in December 2022, marking the beginning of a wave of overseas players signing lucrative contracts with Saudi clubs.
The Portuguese star, who led his national team to victory at the 2016 Euros, has been selected for this year’s edition in Germany, his 11th international tournament. Ronaldo is the most capped player in men’s international football with 206 appearances and holds the record for the most international goals, with 128.
