The Poland international found the net in the 60th minute, breaking the record at 35 years and 184 days old. This achievement surpasses Lionel Messi’s previous record, who was 33 years and 259 days old when he scored against Paris Saint-Germain in March 2021.
The match against Napoli also marked a significant moment for Barcelona, as winger Lamine Yamal became the youngest player ever to feature in the Champions League knockout stages at 16 years and 223 days old.

While Yamal continues to set records, he faces a challenge to become the youngest scorer in the Champions League. Ansu Fati holds that record, scoring for Barcelona at just 17 years and 40 days in the final game of the 2019/20 group stage.
If Yamal does not score in the current season, he will not break the record. Barcelona’s Bojan Krkic is the youngest player to score in a knockout game, achieving the feat at 17 years and 217 days against Schalke in April 2008.
