Rio Mavuba, a former colleague of Paul Pogba, has expressed his belief that the ex-Manchester United midfielder was possibly deceived into consuming a banned substance, resulting in a four-year suspension from Italian football authorities.

Mavuba, who shared the field with Pogba in the French national team, has lent his support to Pogba’s claims of innocence, stating he harbors no doubt regarding Pogba’s sincerity and suspects that he may have been misled.

Speaking to TeleFoot, Mavuba stated, “[I am] confident in Paul’s sincerity, and I believe he might have been misled.”
