Thomas Frank, the current manager of Brentford, has garnered attention. Frank, who has steered Brentford through five successful seasons, has reportedly caught the eye of United, bolstered by his existing rapport with co-owners Ineos.

Having joined Brentford as an assistant head coach in 2016 during their Championship days, Frank ascended to the managerial role in 2018. Under his leadership, Brentford secured promotion to the Premier League and sustained their top-flight status for three seasons.

Should Frank transition to United, his responsibilities would likely shift significantly. The club aims to appoint a head coach solely focused on on-field matters, complementing Dan Ashworth, poised to assume the role of sporting director, and technical director Jason Wilcox.

As United’s season winds down with just two games remaining, scrutiny intensifies on ten Hag. Although contracted until 2025, his tenure’s conclusion appears imminent.

If Frank assumes the reins at United, he would mark the fifth managerial appointment in as many years, following ten Hag, Ralf Rangnick, Michael Carrick, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

United resumes action against Newcastle on Wednesday before concluding their campaign against Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.
