Despite Diaz’s impressive performance in his first two years at Anfield, he remains on the same terms as when he initially joined the club in 2022. With three years left on his current contract come summer, The Telegraph suggests that Liverpool will make a decision regarding Diaz’s tenure at the club, with both contract renewal and potential sale being considered.

Currently, Liverpool places a £75m price tag on Diaz, a valuation that may diminish as the 27-year-old’s contract nears expiration.

In light of a possible sale, both Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in Diaz’s talents. PSG, in particular, sees Diaz as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who is set to join Real Madrid. Barcelona, however, faces financial constraints that may hinder their ability to meet Liverpool’s valuation.

An intriguing aspect of this situation involves Diaz sharing an agent with Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim, who features prominently on Liverpool’s shortlist to succeed Jurgen Klopp. Diaz’s agent, Raul Costa, recently visited the winger in Merseyside, although the purpose of the visit remains undisclosed.
