According to reports, Gareth Southgate has selected his 26-man England team for the upcoming 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
According to the Daily Mail, Southgate has personally spoken to a number of players whose participation in the premier international tournament has been questioned due to injury worries.
Reece James, Kyle Walker, and Kalvin Phillips are a few of the athletes whom Southgate is said to have gotten in touch with.

Chelsea’s left back James is the furthest behind in his recuperation out of the aforementioned three, and under normal circumstances would have had a great chance to start England’s 2022 World Cup opening against Iran.
On the other side, Walker and Phillips have affirmed their suitability for selection. After recovering from shoulder surgery, the latter, who has only played 14 minutes of football this season, could participate in Wednesday night’s League Cup match against Chelsea.
