During the interview, Toke inquired about the most extravagant gift Kiekie had ever declined, to which she disclosed that it was a Range Rover Evoque presented by a former partner.

She went on to explain that it happened during the Valentine’s season, when the man jokingly asked her what she wanted, and she casually mentioned her interest in the car. To her surprise, the Range Rover Evoque was delivered to her doorstep.

The reason she declined the Range Rover gift was because she anticipated that accepting it would lead her father to expect her to marry the giver. However, she couldn’t do so because the man didn’t believe in her dreams and aspirations.

During the interview, Kiekie mentioned that at the time, she was working as a tailor in Opebi, and the man had once told her that if they were to get married, she would need to close her shop by 2 p.m., which clashed with her aspirations and independence.

Toke chuckled upon hearing Kiekie’s response and playfully suggested that she could have accepted the gift without committing to marriage with the man.

Kiekie remained firm in her stance, emphasizing, “When you know how to put a man to good use, then he’s more valuable.”
