The trio, particularly Modric, crafted the opening goal in the 25th minute. Modric’s expertly delivered first-time cross to the back post found Jude Bellingham, who confidently headed the ball into the far right corner of the net.

Twelve minutes later, Rodrygo Goes extended the lead to 2-0. The in-form forward capitalized on a loose ball in the Villarreal box, side-footing home his ninth goal in his last 11 appearances.

Despite Real Madrid’s comfortable control of the game, Villarreal managed to pull one back in the 54th minute. Jose Morales seized an opportunity from a Dani Parejo pass, firing the ball under Andriy Lunin to narrow the gap.

Real Madrid responded swiftly, with Brahim Diaz restoring the two-goal lead in the 64th minute. The nimble forward skillfully maneuvered past Aissa Mandi and Raul Albiol before firing a brilliant shot into the back of the net.

The scoring spree continued as Luka Modric netted his first goal of the season in the 68th minute, calmly side-footing the ball into the bottom left corner from the right side of the penalty area, sealing Real Madrid’s convincing 4-1 victory.
