Real Madrid has received concerning news about Kylian Mbappe from the French national team head coach, Didier Deschamps.

Mbappe finally completed his long-awaited move to Los Blancos on a free transfer after years of speculation and unsuccessful attempts to sign him from Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain. His arrival was officially announced on the club’s website at the beginning of June.

The 25-year-old forward is currently representing France at the ongoing European Championship in Germany. Following an injury sustained in France’s opening match against Austria, the Ballon d’Or contender has been required to wear a protective mask. Despite this setback, Mbappe played as France defeated Belgium 1-0 in the round of 16 to advance to the quarterfinals.

According to Forbes, Didier Deschamps delivered a sobering update to Real Madrid, indicating that Mbappe may need to wear the mask for an extended period.

“He will have to get used to the mask,” Deschamps remarked after the victory over Belgium. “He will likely have to wear it for several weeks and there’s a possibility it could be for several months.”

Mbappe himself expressed the challenges posed by the mask during a press conference, stating, “Playing with a mask is quite difficult, it’s awful. I keep changing masks because there’s always something bothering me, something not quite right. It limits your field of vision and gets clogged with sweat.”

Real Madrid will be monitoring Mbappe’s situation closely as they prepare for his integration into the squad for the upcoming season.
