Spanish football club Real Madrid reportedly regrets its decision to sign Kylian Mbappé from Paris Saint-Germain.
The French forward, who joined the club on a free transfer this summer, is currently embroiled in controversy due to allegations of rape that surfaced in Sweden. According to Swedish media, Mbappé was involved in an incident at a hotel in Stockholm on October 10, which he has since denied.
This alleged incident follows Mbappé’s highly anticipated move to Real Madrid, and despite a strong start at the Bernabéu, where he has scored seven goals in 11 games, the club is reportedly dissatisfied with his performance both on and off the field.

French football journalist Romain Molina claimed that Real Madrid made a mistake in signing Mbappé, stating, “They regret bringing him in; I guarantee that. It hasn’t been at all what they were expecting. It was a whim of [Florentino] Pérez. Only Pérez wanted him.”
Molina further noted, “The club is disheartened, firstly with his level of performance, which is not at all what they expected. The atmosphere in the dressing room isn’t great; that isn’t necessarily Mbappé’s fault, though. I think Real have made a big mistake. He didn’t have a preseason; he was thrust into action immediately, unlike [Jude] Bellingham. The physical decline he’s experienced at 25 is unprecedented; I have never seen that.”
The allegations against Mbappé could have serious implications for both the player and Real Madrid.
