On June 1st, Nkunku will join Chelsea as a player.

Max Eberl, the director of RB Leipzig, has announced that Christopher Nkunku will join Chelsea in the summer once his season with Leipzig in Germany concludes, as reported by BILD through Fabrizio Romano.

Regarding Nkunu joining Chelsea, Eberl stated, “The signs are very, very apparent that he’s headed to Chelsea.”

The transaction has been completed in its entirety. Since August, contracts have been signed and medical exams completed. The only remaining step is the announcement, which neither party is in a haste to make, given that Nkunku is a Chelsea player.

Even if Leipzig intended to hold onto Nkunku until the summer, Chelsea may have hoped they could have persuaded the German club to let him sign in January.

Nkunku may have aided Chelsea’s attempt to finish in the top four, but as things stand, he’ll be joining a squad that might not play in the Champions League next year.

Deal is done for Nkunku, and Chelsea supporters may rejoice that he will play at Stamford Bridge in the upcoming campaign.
