Addressing the speculation, Al-Khelaifi firmly rejected the claims in an interview with Sky Sports Germany.
“It’s not true,” he stated. “He’s a fantastic and amazing player, but we’ve never considered him, to be honest. We know every club would love to have him, but this rumor about us is simply not true.”
While dismissing the Salah rumors, Al-Khelaifi did acknowledge that PSG remains open to exploring transfer opportunities in January if suitable deals emerge.
Reports suggest Salah is frustrated by Liverpool’s lack of progress in offering him a new contract. A short-term extension would reportedly satisfy the Egyptian forward, but his future remains uncertain.
Despite the speculation, Liverpool manager Arne Slot has downplayed public comments from Salah, including suggestions that the recent clash with Manchester City might have been his last at Anfield. Slot has consistently refused to discuss the player’s future in public.
