According to the Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Dingyadi, President Muhammadu Buhari will decide on the destiny of beleaguered Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, Abba Kyari, who has been linked to alleged fraudster Ramon Abbas, alias Hushpuppi.
Due to international engagement in the situation, Dingyadi promised that the Nigerian government will ensure that due diligence is carried out.

Buhari, on the other hand, will make the decision on Kyari’s extradition.
The committee set up to investigate the former DCP has completed its work, according to the minister, and its conclusions have been sent to the Inspector General of Police.
“The subject of Kyari has become a public domain,” Dingyadi says, “and I believe by now everyone has heard that the police, in their wisdom, in their typical way of becoming honest and fair to all, have set up a committee to investigate all of these allegations.”
The committee has also submitted its report to the Inspector General of Police, as we previously reported (IGP).
“We’ve also sent this report and recommendations to the Attorney-General of the Federation for legal advice, after which we’ll present it to Mr. President for final approval.
“As you can see, despite the fact that this is a local issue, it has international implications.”
Kyari was named in a $1.1 million internet fraud scheme by Hushpuppi.
Hushuppi had been charged by the FBI of bribing Kyari to put an errant member of his gang in prison.
Kyari, on the other hand, refuted the claim, stating that he was never paid a bribe by Hushpuppi.
