Ten Hag emphasized that Rashford himself must take responsibility for regaining his form. Rashford, 26, has struggled this campaign, tallying just eight goals across all competitions. This is a stark contrast to his impressive 30-goal output last season.

“It’s a combination of factors,” Ten Hag stated. “Rashford knows, and I know. It’s partly about him, but it’s also influenced by the team. Our attacking game has evolved significantly after the winter break, but prior to that, it wasn’t at the desired level. These aspects are interlinked.”
