In his assessment, the match scheduled for Monday is anticipated to conclude with a 1-1 draw.

In his analysis for the BBC, Sutton highlighted Chelsea’s recurrent tendency to undermine themselves, a trait he believes will manifest once more in this fixture.

Despite Chelsea’s current seven-game unbeaten streak, Sutton pointed out that four of those matches have resulted in draws.

“In typical Chelsea fashion, I find it challenging to make a definitive call here. While they’re on an unbeaten run of seven games in the league, their propensity to self-sabotage often surfaces. Everton managed to defeat Mauricio Pochettino’s squad at Goodison Park back in December, but they only secured their first league victory of 2024 last week.

“Claiming victory against Burnley was monumental for Everton, yet they must follow it up with a solid performance at Stamford Bridge.

“Considering Chelsea’s ongoing evolution as a team, I’m inclined to predict Everton will secure a point,” Sutton concluded.
