Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has named Thomas Tuchel as a manager who would be “good” for the club.
Despite this, Schmeichel voiced his support for current manager Erik ten Hag, who is under mounting pressure due to the team’s poor form this season. United are currently 14th in the Premier League after their recent goalless draw with Aston Villa.
Speaking on the Seaman Says podcast with Betway, Schmeichel said:

“At Chelsea and Bayern Munich, Tuchel joined at the wrong time. I like him—watching him in the Champions League and hearing how he communicates with his players, he seems like a good fit for Manchester United. But Erik ten Hag is still the manager, and I support him because I want the club to succeed. If things don’t improve, then we can consider change.”
Tuchel is currently without a job after parting ways with Bayern Munich a few months ago.
