Luton Town manager Rob Edwards has heaped praise on Elijah Adebayo following his outstanding performance against Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday night.

Adebayo secured a hat-trick for the home team, commencing with an early goal just 19 seconds into the match. Chiedozie Ogbene, the Nigerian-born striker, swiftly added a second less than two minutes later.

Before halftime, Adebayo notched his second goal, skillfully set up by Ross Barkley. The Nigerian striker then completed his hat-trick in the 56th minute.

Expressing his delight, Edwards suggested that Adebayo has the potential for a successful career based on his impressive performance.

“He’s becoming a formidable opponent. His ability to defend set-pieces, pose a threat in the six-yard box, demonstrate hold-up play, and contribute goals showcases his versatility,” Edwards commented post-game.

Adebayo has now tallied eight goals in 21 league appearances for Luton this season.
