Premier League: De Bruyne Explains Guardiola’s Decision to Bench Him in Favor of Foden

Manchester City’s midfielder, Kevin de Bruyne, has acknowledged that manager Pep Guardiola will not hesitate to bench him if he fails to deliver on the field.

De Bruyne experienced being sidelined for the entire duration of the match against Aston Villa earlier in the week.

The spotlight, however, shifted to Phil Foden, who secured a hat-trick leading City to a 4-2 victory at the Etihad.

In the subsequent match against Crystal Palace, Guardiola opted to start De Bruyne while keeping Foden on the bench.

De Bruyne responded emphatically, contributing two goals and an assist as City secured another 4-2 victory, this time at Selhurst Park.
