Farhad Moshiri, the owner of Everton, has put the team up for sale.

Remember that the Toffees fired manager Frank Lampard on Monday as a result of a terrible run of results that placed them in danger of being relegated for a second straight year.

Numerous demonstrations against the current ownership have been organized by Everton supporters, who want their departure.

After receiving a warning regarding their safety, the board decided not to attend the loss to Southampton earlier this month.

The Guardian reports that Moshiri, who has been in charge of the club for seven years, is looking for a way out and wants to sell it for more than £ 500 million.

However, shortly after the news broke, the club posted a video of Moshiri adamantly stating that the club is NOT for sale. The video was shot before Saturday’s defeat to West Ham.

The British-Iranian billionaire had been seeking outside funding, but it has now been reported that he is now open to a full takeover.

A “number of possible bidders” have already indicated interest, and he is open to accepting a partial or majority sale.

According to reports, Deloitte will supervise the club’s sale.

For the new Everton stadium that is now being constructed at Bramley-Moore Dock, Moshiri has contributed funds.

And because he intends to leave Merseyside, he wants to get his money back.

At least £550 million will go toward the club’s new stadium.

Despite spending close to £700 million on players, Moshiri’s ownership group has had little success on the field.

Amadou Onana, who they acquired for £31.5 million, Alex Iwobi, Yerry Mina, Michael Keane, and Moise Kean are a few of their high-profile additions.

In the 2014–15 season, which was their last complete one before Moshiri became management, Everton placed 11th overall.

Since then, they have scored three top-10 finishes, but the past two campaigns have seen them struggling to stay alive.

Numerous managers have come and gone, including Rafa Benitez, Sam Allardyce, Marco Silva, Carlo Ancelotti, and now Lampard.

The Toffees’ best chance of escaping the drop zone is under the management of former Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa.

A week after a video of Moshiri assuring fans that he was just searching for outside money was captured, reports of the sale have surfaced.

He claims in it that “The club is not for sale, but I have been in talks with top investors to close the stadium funding gap.

“I can do it myself, and the reason I want to do it is to attract top sports investors to Everton for a number of reasons, including the supporters’ desire for improvement and more talent, as well as the fact that we are close to a deal.

“It’s not at all selling the club. Simply put, it’s adding more knowledge in the areas of international sponsorship and business development. To guarantee that for Everton.

As the search for a new head coach continues, Arnaut Danjuma’s hijacking by Tottenham on Tuesday left Everton in a humiliating position once more.

The 25-year-old Dutchman had already completed a physical with the Goodison Park team the previous weekend in preparation for his departure from Villarreal.

However, Spurs swooped in at the last minute to grab the winger from Everton on a straight loan while the paperwork was still pending approval.
