Patience Ozokwo, Mr. Ibu, and other Nollywood veterans have endorsed Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president in the general elections of 2023.
At the unveiling of the ‘Fund40MB Donation Campaign’ by the political party known as 40Million Ballots Movements on Monday, the movie legends proclaimed their support for Obi.
Kennedy Iyere, the initiative’s leader, called it a youth-driven 2023 ballot revolution. According to him, the goal was to raise money to make Obi’s presidency a reality.

Patience Ozokwo remarked during the unveiling that if Nigeria had had effective leadership, her material resources and endowment would have distinguished the nation in the comity of nations.
The movie star, popularly known as Mama G, claimed that celebrities were solidly behind Obi to provide the right leadership for the nation.
“We want anybody that loves Nigeria and wants everything good for Nigeria to please donate no matter how small. Children, youths and God want Obi.
“We have seen that Obi as a former governor is prudent with public funds and used same judiciously. He has credibility. We want him to come and change things and mend things,” she said.
Other celebrities in attendance include Alex Usifo, Klint De Drunk, Jerry Williams, Paul Obazele, Rita Arum, Joyce Kalu and Bishop Ime.
