A vigorous manhunt has been initiated by the Kogi State Police Command to find the abductors of the 14 passengers taken at Inyenle Eteke, Ogugu, Olalamaboro Local Government Area, Kogi State, who were abducted in two separate luxury buses and headed for Abuja.

According to an information that I received this morning, kidnappers abducted a GIG & ABC Transport bus that was traveling to Abuja yesterday in Kogi State.
“At 7:30 am, the GIG bus departed Umuahia and was taken over in Kogi State. According to GIG Company, they are being tracked and have gotten in touch with security services. Using my wife’s phone, the kidnappers called this morning and demanded N15 million, Chude alleged.
The Kogi State Police Command confirmed the incident to PUNCH Metro and stated that it has started a manhunt to apprehend the criminals and initiated a search and rescue operation to save the victims.
According to SP William Aya, the public relations officer for the command, the Area Commander who led his team to the scene observed the two busses but failed to notice the occupants, making it impossible to determine how many people were on board.
