The Commissioner of Police has directed a thorough inquiry into the case, which will identify the kidnappers, and the command is keeping a close eye on the issue.

“Mr. Paul Ndubisi-Okula, an Igbo businessman, was abducted by unknown gunmen on Saturday evening (27/01/202) around 8 pm in Tambuwal, Sokoto, in his shop,” according to a source who spoke with our correspondent about the event.

“They went to kidnap Papa Okula, the father, but they left with his son when they could not see him.”

But the source said that more people were becoming victims every day and urged the government to give the protection of people and property more serious consideration.
