A suspect in the kidnapping and murder of Nabeeha, a Bwari lawyer’s daughter, has been apprehended by Nigerian Police Force operators.
Remember that in the Bwari neighborhood Council of the Federal Capital Territory, bandits abducted around nineteen people from the Sagwari Estate Layout in the Dutsen-Alhaji neighborhood.
For each of the nine victims, the kidnappers were requesting a ransom of N700 million.

Four of the hostages, including 13-year-old Folashade Ariyo and Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar, a 400-level biological science student at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, had been slain by the kidnappers. Nabeeha was kidnapped along with her six siblings.
On January 1, the siblings and their father, Alhaji Mansoor Al-Kadriyar, were abducted from their Zuma 1 residence, which is situated on the periphery of Bwari town in Abuja.
But according to a statement released by the police on Sunday, N2.25 million in suspected ransom money was found when 28-year-old Bello Mohammed was arrested on January 20 during a hotel raid in Kaduna. Mohammed admitted to being a member of the group that abducted Barrister Ariyo’s family on January 2 in Bwari when he was questioned.
On January 20, 2024, in Kaduna, Nigerian Police Force agents apprehended a 28-year-old man named Bello Mohammed from Zamfara state.
There statement stated, “Bello was arrested by the Divisional Police Officer, Tafa Division, following an intelligence-led raid on a hotel in Tafa Area, Kaduna. Bello was found in possession of $2.25 million (two hundred and fifty million naira), which is believed to be the proceeds of ransom payments made from kidnapped victims in the area.
