Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea football club, has expressed that departing the club this summer wouldn’t be catastrophic. He emphasized that the decision about his future isn’t solely in the hands of Chelsea’s owners; he also has a say in where he’ll be next season.

Under Pochettino’s leadership, Chelsea has had a mixed debut season. Despite recent wins against Spurs and West Ham, putting them in contention for a European spot, this achievement seemed improbable for much of the season.

During his Friday press conference, Pochettino stated, “It’s not solely about the owners’ satisfaction; our opinions matter too. There could be instances where the coaching staff decides it’s best to part ways. Tomorrow, I might announce my departure. It’s a two-way street—our decision matters, not just Chelsea’s or the owner’s, but also the sporting director’s.”
