Nollywood actresses Wumi Toriola and Funke Etti have apologized sincerely for missing Remi Surutu’s mother’s funeral to their senior colleague.
In May 2022, Gossipinfo announced that Remi Surutu had lost her 101-year-old mother. The actress buried mom in opulent style in December, but many of her coworkers avoided the gathering.
Wumi asked her followers to help her beg the actress on Instagram. She admitted that she hasn’t answered Remi Surutu’s calls out of fear that the actress may retaliate against her.

“I missed @therealremisurutu mum’s burial and I couldn’t even pick call cos I nor wan hear shege. Pls help me apologize to her and tell her I love her”.
Taking to Wumi’s comment section, Funke Etti also apologised to Remi Surutu over her absence a the funeral.
“We plenty, my lovely big sis, e jor pardon wunmi and me too”.

Gossipinfo news recalls in May, Remi Surutu was inconsolable over the death of her 101 year old mom.
Announcing the sad news on her Instagram page in the wee hours of of May 4th, Remi Surutu shared a photo of her mum with the caption “Maami Is Gone at 101, words fail me”

Some of her younger colleagues in the industry have sent in consolatory messages to her.
Wumi Toriola wrote “Hmmmmmmm ,grandma you fought. You lived a fulfilled life @therealremisurutu you did everything humanly possible but God knows best
